1999 National Leadership Grant Award 
"Preparing Virgin Islands Librarians for the New Millennium"
Project Outcomes

The University of the Virgin Islands libraries, in partnership with the Virgin Islands Library Association, was awarded $73,000 from the Institute of Museums and Library Services, (IMLS). The grant was used to train professional librarians and personnel in charge of libraries in the Virgin Islands. The workshops incorporated hands-on training sessions to create web sites for each local library and instructional modules to help librarians deliver effective information instruction in their institutions.
